From Family to Patients: Mary Lettery’s Caring Touch
Six years ago, Mary Lettery’s mother-in-law had become seriously ill.
The Philly resident was eager to help care for her mother-in-law, but she knew she didn’t yet have the training or experience to provide the level of support her mother-in-law needed.
So Mary (now 57) thought of getting a home care services job.
When she heard of All American Home Care, everything changed. She knew she had found the right agency. Besides providing her with the training she needed, she discovered the benefits were great too!
Their salaries were higher compared to other home health care agencies in the area. She received a signing bonus. And the company offered health insurance, life insurance, and a direct deposit into her bank account every two weeks.
That’s when Mary started working with All American Home Care. Presently, she works at the Philadelphia location.
Each day, she comes to work, wanting to do all she can to ensure her patients receive the attention they need and deserve. She doesn’t just attend to their physical needs. She listens to them and talks to them about the challenges they are facing. She reminds them they’re not alone.
She works hard to make sure her patients are comfortable and safe, helping many of them avoid placement in nursing homes.
That dedication is why she is July’s caregiver of the month.
Along with working at All American Home Care. Mary is a loving mom of four adult daughters, whose ages are 40, 38, 36, and 28 years old. She credits her family’s support as a key part of her success at All American Home Care.
During her free time, Mary enjoys crafting and dreams one day traveling to Italy, a country she’s heard is full of beauty.
Most importantly, Mary is proud of the impact she is making, caring not only for her mother-in-law but also for the patients whose lives she touches each day. She’s also proud of meeting new people and making new connections.
